Know what you can afford to reorder.
Keel HQ pulls your Shopify payouts, your bank balance and your supplier bills into one 14-week cash forecast. A purchase order becomes a number you can check before you commit.
Private beta · every feature on every plan
- 14 weeks
- of forecast, week by week
- Mercury + files
- OFX, QFX and CSV statements
- PO schedules
- deposits and balances on their due dates
01.
Can I afford this PO?
Enter a supplier purchase order with its payment schedule and it lands in the forecast on the dates you will actually pay. The buy-plan preview shows your lowest cash week with the PO in, against your minimum-cash line, before you place it.
- Deposits and balances land on their own due dates, not on the order date.
- Supplier terms travel with the PO, so you enter them once.
- Set a minimum-cash line and see the week it is crossed.
02.
When do I run out of cash?
The forecast runs 14 weeks. It starts from your opening cash, adds Shopify payouts with their payout lag and the money you expect in, then takes out recurring bills, debts and charge cards. You see the low point and the week it happens.
- Recurring bills, debts and charge cards sit in the forecast on their schedule.
- Scenario sliders test a slow month or a Shopify Capital advance.
- Import bills, debts and expected incoming cash from a CSV.
03.
Is my starting number right?
A forecast is only as good as its opening cash. Connect Mercury, import a statement from any other bank, or enter a balance by hand with its as-of date. A weekly reminder tells you when a balance has gone stale.
- Mercury syncs nightly and on demand.
- OFX, QFX and CSV statement imports cover banks without a live feed.
- Manual balances carry an as-of date, so old numbers are visible.

What the forecast reads
Every number comes from a source you can name. Nothing is estimated from industry averages.
- Shopify
- Payouts, with the payout lag between a sale and the money landing.
- Mercury
- Balances and transactions, synced nightly and on demand.
- Statement files
- OFX, QFX and CSV exports from any other bank or card.
- Manual balances
- Typed in with an as-of date and a weekly reminder when stale.
- Your suppliers
- Purchase orders with payment schedules, from the inventory side.
Where it stops · Mercury is the only live bank feed today. Other banks work through statement files or manual balances. Keel HQ forecasts cash; it is not bookkeeping software.

Questions about cash in Keel HQ
Does Keel HQ connect to my bank?
Mercury connects live and syncs nightly and on demand. For any other bank or card, import an OFX, QFX or CSV statement, or enter the balance by hand with its as-of date. Other live bank feeds are not available yet.
How does the cash flow forecast handle Shopify payouts?
Shopify pays out days after a sale, not on it. The forecast models that payout lag, so a strong sales week does not look like cash you can spend today.
Can I put a purchase order with a deposit in the forecast?
Yes. A supplier PO carries a payment schedule, such as a deposit on order and the balance on terms. Each payment lands in the forecast on its due date, and the buy-plan preview shows your lowest cash week with the PO included.
Why 14 weeks instead of 13?
The forecast runs 14 weeks, one more than the common 13-week format. Read the first 13 weeks as the standard quarter view and the last as a week of margin.
Does it replace my accounting software?
No. Keel HQ answers forward-looking questions: what cash will be, and what you can afford to buy. Keep your bookkeeping and accounting where they are.
