**TL;DR:** Enter 90 days of sales, the supplier's lead time and the safety days you want. The reorder point is the daily pace times lead time plus safety days, rounded up. It uses the same formula as Keel HQ.

## The formula

reorder point = (units sold in 90 days ÷ 90) × (lead time + safety days), rounded up

## When to use it

Before you place the next purchase order, and whenever a supplier's lead time changes.

## Do this automatically in Keel HQ

Keel HQ recomputes every product's reorder point and reorder-by date from your own sales on each sync.

## FAQ

### What is a reorder point?

The stock level at which you place the next order, so new stock arrives before you run out. It is your daily sales pace times the lead time plus safety days.

### How many safety days should I use?

Enough to cover a late shipment or a sales spike. Many sellers start at one to two weeks and adjust for each supplier.

### Does this match Keel HQ?

The formula is the same. Keel HQ computes it per product from the trailing 90 days of sales, and a threshold you set by hand on a product overrides it, which this calculator doesn't model.
